Reza received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from McMaster University where he designed and developed AI methods for measuring abdominal cysts in MRI and lung airway wall thickness in CT scans. As a postdoctoral fellow at Robarts Research Institute, he designed and developed AI methods for processing Hyperpolarized ³He MRI and OCT images for COPD and Asthma detection. His current research as a postdoctoral researcher includes investigation of trust in Automated Medical Advisory Systems such as ECG signal classifiers and Human Activity Recognition systems. His research interests include machine learning, transfer learning, and evolutionary algorithms for bio-signal and medical images.
