Omar Boursalie

Omar is a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at McMaster University, co-supervised with Dr. Reza Samavi (Ryerson University). Omar’s research focuses on the challenges of using deep-learning to model missing and temporal data in patients’ medical histories. Omar is part of an interdisciplinary team between McMaster University, Ryerson University, and Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) to develop a medical decision support system for cancer risk assessment. Omar is a NSERC PGS-D Recipient and a Postgraduate Affiliate with the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence (2018-2020).
