Ryan Clark

Ryan is a second year Masters of Biomedical Engineering student in the Biomedic.ai lab at McMaster. His research involves learning a similarity metric between two datasets to predict potential deep transfer learning performance boosting. The motivation for this research is to more efficiently find large datasets that could supplement smaller ones, allowing them access to more complex deep learning algorithms without overfitting. To demonstrate this, Ryan is using this metric to find datasets to help predict concussion recovery stages in youth athletes. A fun fact about Ryan is that he plays semi-professional baseball for the Hamilton Cardinals!
